Tax and Treasury provide the following range of services:
Tax
- Providing tax advice on University related transactions.
- Maintaining the ECU Tax Manual (developed in collaboration with the other three publicly funded WA Universities) which has been designed as a self help tool to assist with answers on simple tax queries. For any staff that have tax related matters arise time to time, we encourage you to familiarise yourself this tool. Please note that you should not rely on the contents of this manual without first obtaining advice from the University's Tax Accountant to check currency and relevance.
Treasury
- Daily management of University cashflow requirements and providing advice on and facilitating strategies to protect the University from foreign currency exchange rate fluctuations and interest rate movements.
